What the Commentary Covers

The 2026 Amendment
The commentary accounts fully for the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Act, 2026, the most ambitious revision to the Code since its original enactment. The amendment rebuilds the admission stage and the liquidation framework, and introduces a creditor-initiated process along with enabling frameworks for group and cross-border insolvency, all of which are addressed section by section in the relevant Parts.
